What is Code Collision CTF?

Code Collision CTF is a live, security-focused event sponsored by Aptos Foundation taking place online focused on the Aptos blockchain (the “Contest”). The Contest is open to eligible individual participants, including security researchers, smart contract developers, and white-hat hackers. The Contest is designed to highlight issues and vulnerabilities that can occur in Aptos smart contracts, while also helping to educate developers about Move on Aptos who are new to the ecosystem.

Challenges will take participants through the process of auditing a smart contract. The goal is to think about security from a hacker’s point of view, which involves:

• Reverse engineering the contract’s logic
• Identifying vulnerabilities
• Creating an exploit

Contest Period

Registration for the Code Collision CTF starts on July 15, 2024, at 12:00:00 UTC and ends at 12:00:00 UTC on July 28, 2024 (the “Registration Period”). Challenges can be solved within a 48-hour window from July 26, 12:00 UTC to July 28, 12:00 UTC (the “Contest Period”). Winners will be announced on or around August 26th, 2024.

Rules

• Attacking the competition infrastructure is prohibited.
• The contest is open to individual participants only.
• Brute forcing of challenges is prohibited.
• Sharing flags or solutions with other participants is forbidden.
• Flags must be submitted through the designated competition platform.
• Organizers reserve the right to make final decisions.

Eligibility

You ARE NOT eligible to participate in the Program if you are:

• A “Restricted Person” as defined in the Aptos Foundation Terms of Use
• To receive a Prize, you will be required to complete an identity verification process to confirm that you are not a Restricted Person.
• Under the age of 16. If you are at least 16 years old but are considered a minor in your place of residence, you must obtain your parent's or legal guardian's permission prior to participating in this Program.
